Persuasive Communication
Good communication is a combination of what we say and how we say it. Clarity’s Persuasive Communication is an interactive workshop designed for those who are directly involved in the reporting and/or researching and writing function. The session, based on Barbara Minto’s ground breaking Pyramid Principle, and other leading thinkers, is a combination of theory and hands on practical exercises.
It includes frameworks and techniques to help participants communicate more effectively with less effort. It also includes a model for working together in teams and preparing reports collaboratively.
This program for up to 5 participants includes:
- Analysing information
- Identification and inclusion of key messages
- Structuring large documents
- Persuasive language
- Working collaboratively in teams
- Standardising styles for compilation and editing
As well as exploring key theories, participants will complete a series of practical exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to work on the structure and content of a real proposal or report.
Clarity can tailor this course to beginner level or present it as an advanced workshop or refresher. This session may be run as a half day or full day workshop, depending on your requirements.
