Geoffrey Stackhouse, Principal Trainer

Geoffrey StackhouseAn MBA-trained former management consultant with more than 25 years’ experience in journalism, Geoffrey has a unique perspective on how to engage strategically and effectively with the media. His disciplined and proven approach has helped hundreds of senior executives improve their media performance.

Geoffrey began his career in banking, dealing a range of currencies and interest rates, before moving to technical analysis and then to the media. He has worked on both sides of the microphone and written for publications such as BRW and the Sydney Morning Herald. He has also worked in-house and as a PR consultant, helping leading organisations protect and promote their reputations.

Geoffrey is in demand across Australia and around the region. His clients include McKinsey & Company, UBS, Macquarie Bank, Deutsche Bank, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Suncorp, Freehills, Ernst & Young, General Electric, The Red Cross, St Vincent’s Hospital, Petronas, The Supreme Court of Singapore, The Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) and many others. He has also worked for Telstra and Sydney Water along with leading government enterprises such as ASIC, ACCC, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, and the Australian Federal Police.

As well as a BA from the University of Sydney and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Geoffrey has nationally-recognised training qualifications. He has lectured in effective communication at the University of Technology, Sydney and in AGSM’s full time MBA program.
